I use brightkite to post geotagged images to twitter and from there to friedfeed. So foor me brightkite is just another tool to communicate my location (like dopplr or plazes.) So I see no 'wither or thingy'. Twitter is most poppular. if yu want to discuss other optins you mivcht want to look at identi.ca or a branded laconi.ca-installation .
